event has caused a profounder cJcf than
the death of Miss Marla Bronson, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Bronson, on the
.morning of the Mh Inst. In the bright

dowment of rare virtues that clustered
around her she has been called away, leav
ing a wide circle of devoted friends and
loving relatives to mourn her untimely
death. To those who loved her so well the
tenderest sympathies of all our people are

Eight months ago John Gouton, of
Everson, Pa., swallowed a small lizard
while drinking water at a spring. It
often came up in Ids rnntnh and gave
him much trouble. O i Friday he fas
ted for twenty-four hours, after which
be ate a handful of salt, and laid down
beside a pall of water. The lizard
came up into bis mouth. He closed
his teeth on it, grasped It with his
