Thusrday Morning: The casa of tbo State against Gapers Bowers, for tha murder of Marian Sullivan, was called promptly at 10 A. M. Gray ceased playing, because he was out ofroeic. It was suggested thatsbe could procure some at a stump out side ths «tore; Bowers had sworn several times that be wua the best man on the hill. The two Grays and Bulllvan went out for the rosin; Bul- livan, remarked, boys, do you tee how that man U imposing on me. W. C. Gray slipped bis pistol to Bullivau. They obtained a chip with some losln on it; went back lut^the store, held it over the 9re of a lamp, softened It and rubbed It on the sttiuge; when they went back In tha house Dowers was near the door; Bullivan inquired if Bowere had gone.'
