spine and extremities, are only preruoni-
tigiis of severer symptoins which termin-
s*e in tho ague paroxysm, sm-cecdcd by

It ts a startling fact, that quinine, ar-
genic, and oUicr jx'isonous minerals form
the basis of most of tho “ Fever and Ague
Preparations,'’ ‘'Specifies,” ”Syrups,”
and'" Tonies,” in tho market. The prep
arations made from these mineral poisons,
although they are palatable, and may
break the chill, do not Cure, hut leave tho
malarial and their own drug poison in
tho system, producing oulnism. dizziness,
nging in the ears, headache, vertigo, and
other disorders more formidable than
the ‘disease they were Intended to cure.
Aveu’s Atjrr. Ccnr. thoroughly eradicates
these noxious poisons from the system,
and always cures the severest -cases. It
contains no quinine, mineral, or any thing
that could injure the iun.it delicate pa

Its certainty to cure, is that it leaves tho
system as ffec front disease as before the „
attack.

A young lady was recently buried at
Brighton, England, under romantlo
circumstances. The day of her inter
ment was the day originally fixed for
her marriage, and bar friends com
piled with her dying wish that eh©
should be drawn to the grate by th«
horses which had been engaged to
convey her to church. To the catafal
que there were attached feur grays,
whose heads were decked with floral
rosettes of white and red geraniums,
aud the coffin whs covered with a whits
and amber silk pall. The carriages
which followed, were also drawn by
heuses, caparkooed similar to those
which drew the hearse.
Th© returns of the foreign trade of
New York for the month of September
are nothing tea* than amazing. Th©
exports, exclusive of specie, reached
the enormous figure of $30,180,870, or
aaavcrsgs of close upoojfT,400,000 for
every week day In th© month. If wo
do not mistake, this is the largest
total and average for a mouth on re
cord. The rjito for September, If It
could be maintained for a si-igle year,
la equal to an aggregate yearly expor-
tall m of goods to tbo value of $434,-
000,009 from New York alone. And
Inasmuch as speaking roughly, about
ono-halt of the exports of tho United
States or© sent from, New York, wo
may say that the September rate
would Imply a yearly exportation of
goods valued at very.Uttte less than
nine hundred million dollars.
