In a communication to us thAbaten-
teca aud Proprietors of the Centen
nial Cuke and Baking Pan ask us to
refer them to a party who would make
them a good sgenf to sell the above
named pan to the people of our own and
adjacent counties, ftnd as the beet
means of bringing the matter to tbe
notice of parties in this vicinity who
are in want of a business that is light
and easy to perform, and one that
there certainly is considerable money
to be made at, we insert this notice.
The following is a description of the
pan :
It Is made of Russia iron, and will
bake a cake a beautiful brown* much
nicer ami more evenly than it can be
baked In the old fashioned tin cake
pan, and being provided with a detach
able rim, you can, by simply raising a
hook, remove the rim of the pan from
the sides of the cake without.breaklng
or injuring it in the least, thus leaving
the cake on tbe bottom of the pan,
very convenient for icing or frosting,
the bottom of ibe pan being raised
prevents the cake from being burnt on
the bottom; tbe tube in the centre
can be removed by Inserting a ccmtnon
case knife In the slot in the top and
turning it half round when h will drop
out; there Is ateo^ slide on the bot
tom by which you can close the hole
after removing the tube, making a
plain bottom pan for baking fruit-cake,
bread, biscuits, etc., thus practically
giving you two parik for the price of
one. With all these advantages over
all other paps, an agent has no trpubfe
at all In selling from ten to twenty-
five of them per day. One agent has
sold over one thousand of these pans
in one county, and reports that be has
not gone over one-half of ft yet,, and
we wouhl advise any one out of em
ployment to write kt once to If; B.
Brown & Co., 125 and l'27 Central Av
enue, Cincinnati, mentioning that they
read this notice ik our paper, and they
will send you a descriptive circular

Condensers heretofore have been arranged
ta bat from tbe lapping principle, that is,
they form the bat on the cylinder or reel
through winch the draft of tho gin-brush
must pass. Tliis is e perfect way to make e
good, strong bat, but it be* one serious objec
tion In the sale of cotton it laps so perfectly
on tbe reel and folds up so nicely after it
passes the machine that quantities of it go in
the press foldad up, which causes the fibre to
press bgpt or crookit» Hte bolt, or le have
the appearance of napped cotton, I make
this statement upon the authority ofaottoa
buyers wh* have informed me of thefeet.
This, then, is one point of hnpEovement in
my condenser. By reversing the motion of
the reel and blowing4he cotton down on an
endless apron, lapping the ootion, flnkr at a
time, on the reel is presented at tbe some
time the meshes of the reel are kept clear of
cotton and « free passage of air and dust ac
quired. After the ootton is dropped down
on the apron il is whipped round U>< four
rollers in front, Vhere it forms a bgL 1*ha.
passage of the lit)! between these nllers to
form ebat obviate? the above troubles, and dg
liver* the cotton with a beautiful fluffy apo
pcamce, perfectly clear of any qappi or dust
at all. The attachment of fouf rollers is de
signed to make them doubly secure against
.fire. The additional improvement in Jhe
chest is of great value. BJ it the dust is
conveyed out ef the gin tixml, at the seme
time it prevents lire from getting into the
coUo.i. My aim has been to make e solft.es-
tin^uishing condenser, and 1 am satisfied
that my aim is lully accomplished by the
Sedition ef four tellers tequenoh the blase.
Xfi», I have puthn end to all gin house bum
ing, except the burns of the vileineendiary.
