In a communication to us the Paten
tees atxi Proprietors of tbe Gemeu-
ulal Cake aud Baking Pan ask us to
refer them to a party who would makr
them a good agent to sell the above
named pan to tbe people of our own aud
adjacent counties, And as the beet
means of bringing tbe matter to tbe
notice of parties in this vicinity who
are ia want of a btisluees that is tight
and easy to perform, and one that
there certainly ia conehlerable money
to be maue at, we insert t his notice.
The following is a description of tbe
pan t
It is made of Russia iron, and will
bake A cake a beautiful brown, much
nicer and mote eVenly’than Itcan be
baked in the old fashioned tin cuke
pan, and being provided with a detach
able rim, you oao, by simply raising a
hook, remove the rim of tbs pan from
the ri les of tbe cake without breaking
pr injuring it in the least, thus leaving
the cake on the bottom of tbe pan,
very convenient for Icing or frosting,
the bottom of 'the pan being rained
prevents thopake from being burnt on
the bdttotTU; the tube in the centre
can be removed by inserting snemmon
case knife in the slot In the top and
turning It half round when It will drop
outthere is also a slide on tbe bot
tom by which you can close the hole
after removing the tube, making a
plain bottom pau for baking fruit-cake,
bread, biscuits, etc., thus practically
giving you t<?o pans for the price of
one. With all these advantages over
all other pans, an agent has no trouble
at all in selling from reu to twenty-
ftve of them per day. One agent baa
sold over one thousand of these pans
ia one county, and reports that he has
not gone over one-half of it yot, and
we would advise any one out of em
ployment to write at once to L, E.
Brown St Co., 125 and 127 Central Av
enue, Cincinnati, mentioning that they
read tbia notice is our paper, nnd they
will send you a descriptive circular
and term-* to agents and full particu
lars as to territory, etc.

Condensers heretofore hare been arrargtd
to list from the lapping principle, that i«,
they fofm 1he on the cylinder or reel
through which the draft of the gin-brush
must pass. Thhfta a perfect w\y to mnke a
good, strong bat, but ilksa one serious objec
tion In the sale o< cotton it Ikpseo porterlly
on the reel and folds up so nicely after it
passes the machine thai quantities oflt go in
the press folded ip. which censes the fibre to
press bent or crooked in the bale, or to have
the appearance of napped cottons 1 make
this statement upon the authority bfootton
buyers who have informed me of the fact.
This, then, is one point of improvement in
my condenser. By reversing tbe motion of
the reel and blow-in* the cotton down on an
endless aptah, lapping the cotton, fiakrata
time, on the reel is presented; at the saw*
time the meshes of the reel are kept clear of
Cotton and a free passage of air and dust ac
quired. After the cotton te dropped down
on the apron it ia whipped round to four
roilers in front, where it forms a bat. The
passage of the lint between these r'llerx te
form t bat obviates the above troubles, and de
livers the cotton with a beautiful fluffy ap-
peamco, perfectly clear of any napp* or dust
at all. The attachment of four rollers Is de
signed to make them doubly secure against
fire. The additional improvement in tba
chest is of great value. By it the dust is
-onveyed eat of the gin room, at the same
time it prevents fire from getting into the
cottoa. My aim has been to make a self-ex
tinguishing condenser, and 1 am satisfied
that my aim te tul'y accomplished by the
addition of four rollers to quench the blase.
Yes, I have pnt an end to all gin house bam
