A mad dog created great consterna
tion among the negroes In the eastern
part of Greenwood one day last week.
He first attacked a negro woman and
tore her drees, and then severely bit a
four-year-old colored child, after which
be lacerated a fine mileh cow belonging
to a widow-lady. He then ran down
tbe main road leading from tbe village
and when some distance out met and
endeavored to bite a colored man, who,
with a well-aimed blow, struck him
dead with a fence raH.
