The opinion vouchers upon which bonds and stock boiils^that the said consolidated were Issued, as kpfdfled In tbe con- elusions reached by* the Court, amount ing to about 81500,000 of said bonds and stocks, were not issued In accord- anea With law and authorlx (, d he cnneoll'isted under the net of 1873, and that the consolidated licSds and stock* exchanged said vouchers, so far as they rest thereon for their validity, are not a bljtdlng obligation Upon the State of South Carolina. The opinion is pronounced by Judge Thomson. Judge Aldrich concurring. Judge Hudson delivered a dissenting opinion, holding that every cossolida ted nopd issued under the act of De cember 28, 1873, known as tbe Consoli dation. Act, is a valid obligation of the -Statenf South Carolina. The opinion covers some fifty or six ty pages of feolecap, closely wii’ten.
