York oounty. After graduating at the
University of Georgia be was admitted
to the bar in 1889. He is well knowu
to the profession as the author of the
useful oompilation styled “Pressley’s
Law of Magistrates” lie has long
nwcticed at the Charleston bar, being
prior to his election a member of the
irm of Pressley, Lord dk leglerby. He
deservedly stands high among the law-
yen of the Charleston bar for the sound-
of hia views and the purity of his
character. He is now fifty*eight years
of age. He has never aspired either to
military or legislative honors, but has
devoted himself exclusively to his pro
fession.
