Resolution* of Respect.
WHEREAS, /Almighty God, the
Supreme Director of the Universe, has,
in His A11 >Wi»e Providence, seen lit
to call from his earthly labors to rest
in "that house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens," our friend,
fellow director and co-worker, Capt.
William Dunbar Black; and
WHEREAS, Captain Black, through
out a long and useful life, devoted his
time and talents to the service of his
fellow man, both as public official and
private citizen, rendering unselfish
service to his town, his county and his
State; and
WHEREAS, He was ever-ready to
place the public good ahead of private
gain, his creed being “the greatest
good to the greatest number”; and
WHEREAS, As a member of the
the County Board of Directors he gave
unstintingly of his time to the man
agement of the fiscal affairs of Barn
well County, taxing his strength to
attend the meetings of this Board;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
by the County Board of Directors in
meeting assembled at Barnwell, S. C.,
this 6th day of January, 1937:
1. That while deploring the Last
Summons of the Grim Reaper, we
bow in humble submission to the Will
of Him Who doeth all things well.
2. That we extend to his bereaved
family our heartfelt sympathy in
their hour of grief.
3. That a page in our Minute Book
be inscribed to his memory, and that
