man for Barnwell County, in the Red
Cross drive for memberships as well
as contributions, wish to thank as
well as commend all who assisted so
splendidly in the recent drive, whether
as a worker in your respective com
munity or as a donor.
We wish also to thank the women
of the Barnwell Sewing room for
their beautiful work in the making
of the large Red Cross flags which
were sent to all parts of the county
to be used in the drive. These flags
will be kept in the communities to be
used on similar occasions in the
future.
To Mrs. B. W. Sexton, of Barnwell,
for the beautifully decorated window
in Sexton’s Drug Store.
To Mrs. B. L. Easterling and Mrs.
Shellie Black, chairman and assist
ant, who had charge of the house to
house canvass in Barnwell, and to
the various chairmen and their asaist-
anta throughout the county who gave
of their time and means that this
might be the best Roll Call drive had
in recent years.
To the officers and young men of
the Barnwell CCC Camp who went
over the top, 126 contributing their
bit and five officers and directors of
the camp who gave memberships
To Dr. D. J. Dixson and his co-
workers throughout the county who
did ao aplendidly in the drive, bring
ing |41 00 from their efforts.
Last, but by no means least, do we
thank The People-Sentinel and The
Willtston Way for their splendid edi
torials on the work and giving such
fine support in the work.
In last week's issue of The People-
Sentinel the names of J. J. Bell and
Mrs G. M Greene were inadvertently
left off the list. If others were not
published in either paper will you
kindly send name to either editor and
