CCC Camp, Nov. 23.—Co. 4408’*
Basketball team went to Charleston
Saturday to lose the first frame of its
basketball season by a score of 28-14.
It wns an interest infr frame throughout
with both teams making a lot at
fouls and otherwise playing in early
season form. /
Those who saw the game and play
ed in it declared that what the Barn
well team needed was more practice.
Twice last week the team journeyed
to Blackville to practice in the new
Blackville gym. These practices were
held on Tuesday and Thursday night,
and they were very good. It is hoped
that the team can continue to prac
tice at least twice a week, but it is
not certain that this will be possible.
On Thursday night, the CCC scrim
maged «gainst Blackville. No score
was kept, and the scrimmage lasted
considerably longer than the average
game.
The Georgetown CCC camp comes to
play the Barnwell CCC camp next
Saturday, Nov. 28, and it is likely that
the game will be played in the Black
ville gym at 3:30 in the afternoon. A
small charge will be made to see the
game.
The boys believe they will show up
well against Georgetown this week,
and everybody is invited to come to
the game.
