New Baseball Schedule.
The second half of the District “I”
baseball schedule was supposed to
have been started on Saturday, Au
gust 1. A team came up from the
Supply CJo. to play Barnwell, but the
game was postponed. The two teams
will instead play a double-header in a
couple of weeks when the two teams
go to the Fort.
Several of the best players of the
local company are still located at the
side jeamp at Walterboro, but Pitcher
Jesse Martin ha s been back from the
hospital for several weeks and we
hope he will be strong enough to hurl
one or two games for us. He was
out all of the first half on account of
an operation for appendicitis.

E. M. Padgett on truck trail 38.
There are about sixty-five in this
crew, and they are spread out in lit

two and three miles, each little crew’
doing some particular job. Every
