Mr. John B. McNab has resigned

sistant' postmaster.
Caf>t. Joseph Stallings died of par
alysis at his residence near Greenland
on Sumflay last. Since the war he has
lost six manly^ promising sons.

There are now four blacksmith
shops in town and another firm will
enter the field yean
Carolina, removed from Elko to Gil
bert Hollow, Lexington County. A
couple of weeks ago his wife eloped
with J. A. Smith, carrying off her
son, $350 of her husband’s money and
a lot of silveware. Smith got posses
sion of the money and abandoned her.
She returned with the child and) has
been pardoned by her husband, who is
using every effor to catch Smith,
whom he proposes to punish to the
full extent of the law.
Cotton Ginning Report.
There were 15,444 bales\of cotton
ginned in Barnwell County from the
crop of 1935 prior to November 14th,
as compared with 11,329 bales ginned
to the same date last year, according
to a report made public this week by
W. Delk, Sr., special agent, of
Blackville.
