SUMONS FOR RELIEF. (Complaint Served.) V With tVhom Did Senatr.r By/cnes Talk? uatinR class at the University of South Carolina last week and' upon his return to Washington reported to President Roosevelt that “despite its traditions it (South Caiolina) was ‘enthusiastically behind the president’ and would support any more he made, even to a change in the constitution From whom did Senator Byrnes get information upon which to base such a premise? It i s true that, for the most part, the people of this State are “enthusiastically behind the Presi dent,” but we do not believe that a majority of them will endiorse the surrender of evety vestige of State’s rights for momentary material gains. South Carolinians have, perfect confi- 1 dence in President Roosevelt. They believe that he is sincerely trying to help the masses of the people, but they are uncertain as to what would happen under succeeding administra tions should 1 the constitution be amended so as to further centralize power in Washington. No, Senator Byrnes, we believe that you have misread the signs of the times in South Carolina Not yet are we ready to surrender our bithright for a mess of pottage. HERMAN I. MAZURSKY, . Plaintiff’s Attorney. Dated 1 January 14, 1935. LOOK...COMPARE ■ . - C , L Camera sees all... tells all ...better than words* •This season more crops than for many a year will be side-dressed with Natural Chilean Soda. It came Rom the ground; now it’s going back to the ground to give health and vigor to your crops. Once we believed crops needed only phosphate, potash and nitro gen. Now we know they require many other elements. Once We thought of the old-time natural fer tilizers only a*'sources of phos phate, potash and nitrogen. Now we know they contain-other equally necessary elements. All these years we have been following Nature’s laws—and only realized what that meant after trying sub stitute materials. There was a differ ence. Crops showed it. They did not seem to get what they needed—what the old-time natural fertilizers supplied. What is the difference? Some people think it is the extra elements —the “vital impuritie*.” Others be lieve it is the natural origin, the centuries of blending, and curing. Chilean Natural fil trate—the only nitrogen that comes from the ground—the ideal side dresser for your crops. is that the difference is there, and it means much to you. Be sure to say “Chilean” when ordering your side dresser. Just that one word—but what a difference! See your dealer for Chilean Nat- ural Nitrate. Two kinds — Champion (granulated), Old Style (crystals). They are both genuine. Both are natural. And both give to your crops those vital impurities. ^ I i Chilean NATURAL NITRATE THE OLD ORIGINAL SODA t NOTICE TO THE ABSENT DEFENDANT, MRS.
