The second of a series of bridge
tournaments for the benefit of the
weetwater Country Club was held]
Tuesday afternoon at the club house
under the direction of Mrs. E. H.
Girardeau. Ten tables, including two
each from Blackville/ and Williston,]
were arranged for the playe?s in .vhe
commodious living room. The high
score prize, a double deck of cards,
was won by Mrs. H. L. Buipt, -otJ
Blackville, and the consolation, A, vani
ty, was cut by Mrs. Creech, also of
Blackville. The “floating prize,Y a
cutex set, was finally won by Mfs.
Angus Patterson after having drifted
from one table to another during the\
afternoon. A salad course with coffee

was served after ^)fe games.
The proceeds from the first “bridge |
night” were used ~ to purchase nine
substantial card tables.
Mrs. Girardeau has announced that
the next tournament will be held Fri
day night, Februry 1st, at which time ]
both men and women may^ play the
