Mazursky was hostess to the mem
bers of the Junior-Smart Set Bridge
Club. The high score prize for club,
members, a set of mats, wa* won by
Mrs. Eugene Easterling; the Bigh
seoie prize for guests, a set of pow
der puffs, was won fc* Miss Nell
Stack, and the consolation, a set of
coasters and mats, was cut by Mrs. H.
J. Phillips. The hostes* served a de
licious sweet course. Those playing
besides club members included Mrs.
Charlie Brown, Sr., Mrs. Wilson

MARRIAGE.
Blackville, Sept. 16.—M iss Marjorie
Fickling and A. W. Collum, Jr., both
of Blackville, were married Saturday
evening, September 9th, at 8 o’clock
'at the home of Robert B. Fickjing.
Only the immediate families of the
couple were present. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. Lowell G.
•Payne, pastor of the Blackville Bap
tist Church.
Mrs. Collum is a graduate of the
Blackville high school and attended
Greenville Woman’s college. She is
the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert B. Fickling. She was dressed
in navy blue with black accessories.
Mr. CoUum is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. A. V. Collum. He is a graduate
of The Citadel and has recently been
reccmmended for appointment to the
can Creed. After submission of
several communication* of interest to
the chapter, the minutes of the last
meeting we e read and approved; re
port of the treasurer was made show
ing a balance on hand in the treasury

Plans aie being perfected for the
erection by this chapter of a Revolu
tionary marker to be placed on the
Court House grounds. A silver tea
is being planned for an early date.
During the historical hour Mrs. V.
P. Bonner gave *ome interesting ex
cerpts from the lives of famous
heroes of the Revolution. At the
close of the meet ng a contest was
much enjoyed, Mrs. B. L. Esterling
and Mrs. G. M. Greene tied for first
prize, while the consolation fell to
Mrs. L. M. Cave.
The hostess, assisted by Mrs. L. A.
