Negro Cook Dies Suddenly 1 The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thos, M. Boulware will be glad to know that their littl € son, Tom, is re covering from an 'Operation on his arm, whiA was performed at a Col umbia hospital last week. A negro woman* known only “Mella” died suddenly Tuesday morn ing in the kitchen of the home of E. J. Sanders, of this city, by whom she was employed a*s cook. Her death was due to heart failure. A. D. Furtick and daughters, Misses Nellie and Dorothy, are spend ing the week in Asheville and Chim ney Rock, N. C." They were accom panied by Mr. and Mrs. F. W.
