Patterson has returned from Birmingham, Ala., where he at tended the Confederate reunion. Mrs. R. A. Patterson and son left today (Thursday) for Bennettsville, where they will visit her parents. Miss Martha Ayer Harley has re turned home after a pleasant visit to Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Giles in Green ville. Miss Irma Brown and Dan Brown returned to Augusta Monday after spending a few days here with rela tives. J. Morgan Weathersbee, of Willis- ton, was a visitor in Barnwell Mon day the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Black. Mrs. T. D. Creighton, Sr., was a visitor in Augusta Monday. -J W. I. His borther, Bates Hagood, went down to Charleston Friday and re mained over until Saturday. Dr. L. K. Best, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Lelia K. Be.-t, of Columbia, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Greene oh Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Gieene accompanied them to Savan nah on a visit to relatives there. Dr. Best lefit on Saturday for Fall River, Mass., where he goe< to enter upon his life work, being associated with Dr. Ryder of that place. Kent Best, as he i s known to his friends through out this section, has many friends who will be delighted to learn of his success and will watch his career with interest.
