Price, of Columbia, spent the week-end with friends in Barnwell. Mrs. B. L. Easterling and daughter, Mrs. H. J. Phillips, were visitors in Augusta Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clark L. McCaslan, of St. Matthews, spent the week-end with Barnwell relatives. Miss Mary Foreman, of Ellenton, spent Sunday in Barnwell with Mr. and Mrs. J. Julien Bush. Harold Tinsley, of Atlanta, spent a few days during the past week with Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Molair. Mrs. Ralph Brown is at home again after a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Sol Brown in Bateabnrg. Congressman Butler B. Hare, of Saluda, was a visitor in this section Monday. Duke Harris, Esq., of Richmond, V#., is visiting friends in Barnwell this week. Mrs. Susanna Greene and daughter, of Spartanburg, are the guests of Mrs. Nellie Cave. Miss Annie Moody, of Augusta, is the attractive guest of her sister, Mrs. E. J. Sanders, this week. Mrs. J. L. Buist and Mrs. S. H. Rush, of Blarkville, were the guests of Mrs. Nellie Cave last week. Mrs. Harold Williams and little daughter, of Ellenton. are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. The high score prise was won by Mrs. Charlie Brown, Jr., and the consola tion waa cut by Mrs. Perry A. Price, the winners being presented with at tractive vases. A chicken salad course and iced tea were served after the games. Lawson Holland spent the In Ellenton and was arenaspaated betas by Willtam Dunbar. ENTERTAINS WITH LAWN PARTY AT DUNBARTON. Dunbarton, August 2.—One of the most enjoyable affairs of the season was a lawn and farewell party Tues day evening at the home of Mrs. Per ry Greene in honor of Miss Lessie Dicks, who left August 1st for Sav annah, Ga., to enter Richards Busi ness College. A special table had been arranged at the gate, where a beautiful arbor of rosea was erected. On entering, each guest registered and wrote tome “aly saying” or toast for Miss Dicks. Games and dancing were enjoyed dur ing the evening, Winton Whaley win ning the prise in the memory contest. Mrs. Greene waa assisted by Mrs. E. D. Dick, and Mra. M. E Whaley * Mr. and Mrs. L. A.
