storm scored its first mark here Wed
nesday, killing a negro woman, tak
ing the lives of a horse and cow and
wrecking crops throughout the com

Clara Bush Wright, colbred, was in
stantly killed when she was struck
by lightning. She was in the yard of
the Schofield Lumber Company when
( the storm struck.
Frightened by the lightning, a
horse, owned by F. M. Youngblood,
ran into a fence and broke his neck.
