C., with her sister, Mrs. P. J. Drew. The latter returned to TJarnweH with Mrs. Brown and is visiting Mrs. L. H. Christie this week, v LOCAL D. A .R. CHAPTER HOLDS MAY MEETING. Friday afternoon the Barnwell Chapter, D. A. R., held its May meet ing with Mrs. T. A. Holland. A num ber of daughters were present and a very enthusiastic meeting held. Mrs. L. M. Cave, Regent, presided, opening the meeting with a short prayer, after which the Salute to the Flag and the American Creed follow ed. After a short business session the nominating committee made a report showing all officers re-elected for the coming year. The following are the officers at the present time: Mrs. L. M. Cave, Regent; Mrs. R. S. Dicks, Vice-Regent; Mrs. B. L. Easterling, Recording Secretary; Mrs. R. C. Holman, Corresponding Secretary; Mrs. G. M. Greene, Treas urer; Mrs. T. A. Holland, Historian; Mrs. Hi L. O’Bannon, Registrar. During the social hour the hostess served a delicious fruit salad course.
