THURSDAY, JANUARY U, !»>•- TALBERT LANCASTER KILLED AT SAVANNAH Talbert Lancaster, a former reii- dent of Govan, was killed while hunt ing near Savannah last Friday morn ing, apparently by accident. Mr. Lancaster lived with his family in Savannah, but worked for the rail road a few miles distant every night. Friday morning he got his gun and said he was going squirrel hunting. When he did not report for work that night, a search was made and his dead body was found in the woqds where he was hunting. A load of shot hed entered his body, and it was ap parently an accident. He had been dead for several hours when his body was found. Mr. Lancaster’* body was brought to his old home, and interment took place Saturday at George’* Creek Baptist church, of which he was member. He was about 35 years of age. His wife and two children survive him. Mr. Lancaster was the son of Mrs. A. R. Lancaster, of Govan, who also ■urvives him, with the following brothers and sisters: J. F. Lancaster, Harold Lancaster, and Oscar Lancas ter, of Govan; Gilmore Lancaster, of Savannah; Mrs. P. A. Bolen, of Orangeburg County; Miss Lila Craig, of Eastover; Mrs. Irie Smith, South Carolina; Miss Alma Lancaster, of Govan.^Bam&erg Herald.
