and Personal News from Williston Williston, Aug. 17.—Mrs. George B. Lott entertained at four tables of bridge Monday afternooi^ in honor of her house guest, Miss Mary Largford, erf Goldsboro, N. C., and Mrs. J. M. Lee, a recent bride. The living room was prettily decor ated with bowls of marigolds. After the bridge games, the hostess assisted by Mrs. C. L. Greene served a two course luncheon. The color scheme of orange ard green was tastefully car ried out. The high score was made by Miss Langford, ard the consolation waa cut by Mrs. Harvey Black. The guests of honor and Mrs. Cecil Folk, another recent bride, were re membered with lovely gifts. Mjss Mary Langford, of Hampton, was a visitor of Mrs. George B. Lott last week. . Mrs. John V. Murray and children of Charleston, Mrs. Cheatham and daughter, Frances, of Biackstone, Va., and Miss Gertrude Barnett, of Laur- ebs, returned home with Mrs. J. E. Kennedy from Charleston and will visit her here for several days. Mrs. Mary Vissar, of Allerdale, is visiting Mrs. W. R. Kennedy. Mr. and Mrs. Q. A. Kennedy, Jr., and Q. A. 3rd, and M. M. Player are spending several days at Myrtle Beach after stoppirg over Sunday at Mr. Player’s home at Mayesville. Mrs. K. O. Lott, of Bartow, Fla., is visiting her sister, Mrs. C. D. Page, having beer, called to the funeral of their grandmother, Mrs. R. M. Mix- son. Mrs. Q. A. Kennedy, Sr., has gone to Waynesville, N. C., for several weeks. Dr. ard Mrs. J. L. Smith and chil dren, Lewis ard Laura, are enjoying the surf at Sullivan’s Island for two weeks. L. H. Boland accompanied them to Charleston Thursday and re- torred Friday. J. V. Porter, L. R. Hair, Curtis Hall and Edwin Owei g left Sunday by au tomobile for a trip through the Shenandoah Valley, Washington, New York and other points of interest. Mrs. Guy Cox and aor, of Althm, FU., are visiting the former’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Trotti. Mr. and Mrs. W .R. Davis, Misses Lenna ard Jacque Davis, Gordon Davis and Mrs. W. C. Cook have re- turred from BLufTton, where they have been for several weeks. Mr. . and Mrs. J .C. Cook returned Thursday from Asheville and have moved into their attractive rew home. J. A. Latimer, of Columbia, was a visitor in town Sa^prday afternoon. Mrs. Latimer moved from Saluda, N. C., to Columbia Morday. Dr. and Mrs. Ashley B.
