Of cordial interest to scores of friends throughout South Carolina and Georgia comes the announcement of the marriage of Miss Essie Leonora Morris, daughter of Mr. ard Mrs. J. B. Morris, Jr., ard William Elmer Giles, the marriage taking place at the conclusion of services at the local Baptist Church Sunday morning, August 4th. The ceremony was per formed by Dr. W. M. Jones, the bride’s pastor. Although this marriage came as a complete surprise to a large number in the cor gregation, a few friends who had been apprised of the fact decorat ed the church beautifully for this oc casion, quantities of green ferns and stately dahlias and snapdragons ir. colors shading from cream to orange being tastefully arranged, which made a beautiful setting for the ceremony which united or.e of Barnwell’s fairest daughters to one of Georgia’s splendid young, men.
