Bamberg, May 4.—Mrs. Carrie Jones Rizer, 59, died at her home at Olar at 3:45 o’clock yesterday after- ttoon, following an illness of about tan days. Her death had been momen tarily expected for several days past. Her remains were interred Friday af ternoon in the Starr cemetery at Olar, '’'the Rev. A pair of antlers found In an excel lent state of preservation indicate that the Romans used to have good hunting near the city, and, with other objects found, throw a vivid light on the Lon don of 2,000 years ago. Among the objects discovered are toilet articles such as the Roman equivalent of the lipstick, various pottery, shoes, and Jewelry. Mrs. Susan Ray, aged 43, died April 6th at her home near Barnwell. Her funeral services were conducted at the Friendship Baptist Church by her pastor, the Rev. D. W. Heckle. Mrs. Ray was a member of a prominent family and was a woman of great use fulness in her community. She is survived by her husband snd five chil dren, Mrs. Fred Hutto, of Denmark, Ernest Ray, of Virginia, Robert Ray and Misses Catherine and Dora Dee Ray; her parents, Mr. and Mis. S. B. Creech, of nesr Olar; and the fol lowing brothers and sisters: C. J. snd Sam Creech, of Denmark, Buiat and Lide Creech, of Olar, Mrs. Minnie Creech, of Olar, and Mrs. F. M. Cope of Ulmer. this State.
