Rate schedule for electric light,
power, cooking and street lighting
service are herein below set out as a
schedule of rates.
An auxiliary plant will be main
tained by us at Barnwell adequate at
all times to handle water pumping
for the Town of Barnwell with the
system that the Town is now supplied
with, or an enlarged. The object of
maintaining this auxiliary plant is
to reduce the fire hazard to the Town.
We further guarantee to keep the
amciliary plant in such condition of
repair and up to such a standard as
to prevent an increase in the present
insurance rates.
The rates herein stipulated are to
become operative immediately upon
ddivey of the property and equip
ment herein mentioned, and shall be
the highest rate to be charged for
the aaJe of electricity in the Town of
Barnwell, with the understanding
that the said rates shall be under the
supervision of the South Carolina
RaJftoad Commission at all times, to

maximum light rate is to be reduced
from 12c to 10c per K. W. for first
50 K. W., with a corresponding re
duction as above stated, within twelve
months after the date this contract is
signed, and upon the failure on the
part of the purchaser to comply here
with no street light bill is to be paid
