Young Lad Killed'
by Seaboard Train
Olar, April 20.—Marion Hair, 18-
ye:tr-old Olar boy was instantly killed
at Ulmer Monday night at 11:25 by
the fan Seaboard passenger train go
ing north. Hair with nnother boy, AU
steen Dixsoo, left home Monday af
ternoon. and were en route to Geor
gia. At 10:25 the boys appeared at
the depot in Ulmer and aaked the
time from the night ofterator. They
went on down the raihoed until they
reached the lower switch, where they
sat down to rest
there, they both fell asleep, Hair lying
on the east side of the track with his
head between the end* of the cross»
ties. He evidently raised his body as
the train approached, the right side
of the skullk and cheek bones being
fractured and his neck dislocated.

ed by the train, and after it had
passed he found his partner injured.
He hastened to the depot and asked
the operaber to secure medical atten
tion for the injured boy. The railway
company summoned Dr. A. J. Harter
of Ulmer and Dr. L. A. Hartsog of
Olar at once. Young Hair expired,
however, before anyone reached the
scene. ,
Marion Hair was the son of Mrs.
Ollie Hiers. His body was brought
to Olar last night after the inqueat aod
intetment was made this afternoon at
Friendship Baptist church.

Court for Barnwell County in Book
4-D, page 574.
