The band is a pant of the mikUary

band will be there," has come to be
man truth than poetry.

Profesaor E. J. Freeman, A member

of the band. Mr, Freeman is in every
sense of the word a natural-born mu

A well-ballanced program has been
selected for Friday evening. It will
embrace several heavy classic numbers
amid a number of marches and light se
lections. This year the band is fea
turing a thirty piece jazz orchestra.
These "jazz-hounds" will play the lat
ter half of the program. Novelties,
such as sofloe, duets end comedians,
will also frequent the program.
The members of the Clemson Col
lege Concert Band Invite the public to
oome cut and spend a pleasant even
ing with them. Immediately after the
performance there will be a dance in
the Tobin balding. The music will be
furnished by the famoue "Jungaliers’
Nine Piece Orchestra of Clemson Col-

at Bamberg June 7th
The Southeastern Summer school
for teachers will open at Carlisle
school on June 7th, according to an-

and will remain In uamion six weeks,

school in Bamberg and it is to be a
permanent institution, a special levy
being created for the purpose of as
sisting in the expenses on the part
of Bamberg County. The dormitories
and complete plant of the Carlisle
School wjll be used for the school, as
well as the local grammar *nd high
school plants.
