2 of an Act, (Calendar No. 327),
passed at the 1927 meatiion of the
South Carolina General Assembly,
notice is hereby Riven that an ejec
tion will.be held in Barnwell, S. C.,
on Tuesday, April 12th, 1927, for the
purpoee of electing five trustees for
Barnwell School District, No. 46.
One trustee will be elected to serve
for one year, one for two years, one
for three years, one for four years
and one for five years—the Trustees
elected shall decide by lot the term
of office of each.”
Said election wMl be held as is pro
vided by law for the hoMing of gen
eral elections. The • polls will be
opened at the Court House, and the
following will serve as managers: F.
S. Brown, C. W. Moody and Gao. M.

Baptist church Sunday morning and

Tuesday afternoon a group of Col
umbia and Lander college girls met
with Miss Nena Odom for the pur
pose cf organizing a club. Miss Em
mie Wright, exceruiive secretary of
the alumnae association, gave a ta’k
on the work of the association and
value of local clubs. Officers were
elected and amusing college stunts
were enjoyed, after which sandwiches,
iced tea and salted nuts were served.
