Meeting ef Bible Class.
The regular monthly meeting of the
Jennie Lou Hagood Bible Class <rf the
Barnwell Methodist Church was held
at the home of Mrs. R. W. Humphries,
who was assisted in entertaining by
Mrs. A. J. Bennett. After an enjoya
ble social hoar, a delightful salad
course was served.
Holds First Meeting.
The Smart-Set Bridge Club held its
initial meeting Wednesday afternoon
of last week with Mias Jean Riley.
The high score prise was won by Mrs.
BoncU H. Dyches and the consolation
was cut by Mrs. D. B. Witherspoon.
After the games a salad course and
sherbet were served.
Mrs. Bush Entertains.
The members of the Wednesday Af-
ernon Bridge Chib were entertained
last week by Mrs. J. Julien Bush. The

pondence cards, was wen by Mrs. C.

Death of T. C. Hair.
After an illness of four months, Mr.
Thomas C. Hair, insurance agent, died
at his home in Elko Sunday. He was
the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Fur
man N. Hair, both of whom survive
him. He is also survived by has widow,
who-was Miss lone Burton, of Aiken
County, and two daughters, Mikses
Gretchen and Katheryn Hair, of Elko,
one brother, Mr. Moise Hair, ahd one
sister, Mrs. F. P. Lee, both of Elko.
The funeral services were conducted
Monday hi* home in Elko and the
body was laid to rest in the Hair
graveyard, near that town.

short duration. Mr. Raondale had
lived in Columbia for several years
and had a number frianda here who
will learn with sorrow of Ms death.

of Orangeburg and Mrs. F. S. White
of Charleston, and one son, L. C. Runs-
dole of Columbia.
Short funeral service* were held
at 1:30 o’clock Monday ■afternoon at
1217 Hampton street, after which the
body was taken Orangeburg for
interment Services were held at the
Orangeburg Presbyterian church at 4
o’clock with interment in the church
yard. The Rev. F. Ray Riddle of
Shandon Preabyterian church held
