u face value of $2,975,000,000 which
will be available in 1927 for deposit as
collateral secyrity for loans.
The total loan value which will be
come available during the year 1927
is approximately $2fi2c»40,00<).
The av-rage amount that may '•»«•
obtained by veterans during 1927 on
the security of certificates that have
been in force two years or more is
approximately H'* cents for each dol
lar of the face value of the certificate.
Loana max be made to the veterans
by ary bank nr trust company, in
corporated Under the laws of any
State, territory, (atssession or tho
District of Columbia, but loans can
not Ik' made to the veterans by the
C, S. Veterans Bureau. It is of the
utmost importance, therefore, that xll
applications for loana be presented
to t>ank or trust company and not to
the Bureau or any of its agencies.
The. Director sincerely hopes the
veteran will not exercise thf loan
privilege to any appreciable extent
since it will be much more advanta

Qood Health Requires Qood Elimination
T O be well, you must keep the
blood stream free from impur-
J ities. If the kidneys lag, allowing
body poisons to accumulate, a toxic
condition is created. One is apt to
feel dull, languid, tired and achy.
A nagging backache is sometimes a
^ symptom, with drowsy headaches
and dizzy spells. That the kidneys
are not functioning properly is often
shown by burning or scanty passage
of secretions. If you have reason to
suspect improper kidney function
ing, try Doan’s Pills—a tested
stimulant diuretic. Users praise them
