Leon Tobin’s Family
Injured in Accident
Bamberg, July 12.—A* serious, for
tunately not a fatal automobile ac
cident, occurred in tiki's'county about
9 o’clock Thursday nighty five miles
west of this city on the Bamberg-
Denmark highway. L. P. Tobin, sup
erintendent of the Bamberg light and
water plant, together with Mrs. Tobin
and their little daughter, Mary Lucile,
were all painfully injured.

Fickling handles automobiles at Den

The injured parties were brought
to their home here, and speedy medi
cal attention was administered to
them. Mrs. Tobin was perhaps the

struction and expansion to meet the present demand
for service and provide for the needs of the immediate

During the five-year period, including 1926, our
plans require an expenditure of M,637,000 in South
Carolina for additions and replacements. Practically
all ot this is new money, which must be secured from
investors.

telephone stockholder, in this undertaking, is practi

wisely and efficiently, we shall render the largest ben

stitches by the surgeon, while her

were cut, bruised and bleeding. She
was greatly shocked and unnerved,
and is still confined to her bed.« Her
little girl, Mary Lucile, was so badly
cut And swolen about the facs; and
head, especially her mouth, that she
could not talk Friday; she also lost
several teeth.
Mr. Tobin received painful cuts
and bruises, but there appear’ to be
no broken bones, and none of the
victims have developed any internal
injuries. They are among the city’s
most prominent and popular people,
and it is h^ped that all of them will
soon be entirely recovered, with no
permanent injuries. It is understood
here that Mr. Fickling was unhurt.
