Vady to lepresrnt Barnwell at the big spectacular water event to be staged July 5-6 Who. will bo “Miss Barnwell,” is the question th<- people ‘ will decide. V* • The winner of fhe contest will have railroad fare paid to and from Savannah, will be entertained while there without cost to her, and will receive many honors. Some representative will receive $100.00 in gold. , Among the many /things she will participate in .will be the following: MammotH parade of County representatives with automo biles from her county back' of her. Forty counties have been asked to lend representatives while many cities further removed from Savannah than the counties have been asked to send floats. The float for the young lady representative of Barnwell will be furnished free by some progressive Savannah business house. It will be the work of special decorators. V-' Assist in the corodfction ceremony of the queen of the carni val and then witness a spectacular and beautiful program on th- big Daffin Park Lake. She will hava a prized seat from which she can have a view of the big program. Sho will be extended courtesies at the regatta where the South’s fastest motor boats wjU contest for supremacy. The. coronation ball, staged amid thousands of la liter nj and decorations befitting such a gala occasion, will remain a life long memory. There will be a big night parade, just prior to th<» hall, in' which ^5 of the most beautiful floats, which will have appeared in the parade on July f>th, will be e4ectricaily lighted. Aftr.r the young lady is selected to represent Barnwell she will seek to huye as many automobiles at Savannah as possible from this county. These automobiles will be given « place in the parade on July 5th ju$t back of the float on 'which “Miss Barnwell” will ride. • * The young lady representative having the most automobiles from her county back of her float in the parade will receive $100.00 in gold. Thus the young lady from this county, in addition to having a free trip to Savannah with expenses paid and many honors exit nded her,.will have an opportunity of contesting for the $100.00. Of course, we can count on the people ol Barnwell County going to Savannah in great numbers. All events will be free. VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE. Rules of Content- The qualification* for representative calls for her being at least 16 year* old and unmairied. She must agree to be present at all the events of the Water Carnival. July 5-6, 1926.
