“God Rave us friends—and

But far above all others
The greatest of His gifts to earth ^
Was when He thought of Mothers.”
Such a thought was behind the
movement to set aside one day in
each year on which to pay fitting
tribute to mothers throughout the
length and breadth of the land. Tin
second Sunday in May has been desig
nated as “the day of days”. This
year falls on May 9th and every
man and woman, boy and girl who
loves and reverences his or her
mother should wear a flower in her
honor—a colored one if she is living,
a white one if she has passed to her
eternal reward.
Next time you have difficulty find

your teeth. Dentist testifying in be

Brig. Gen. Smedley D. Butler of hav

vision had been impaired by infected
molars.

first Sunday in May. #
Mr. McKinnon came to Elkmton
four years ago, an inexperienced
pastor, this being his first church.
He entered whole heartedly into th'*
work of the church and immediately
it began to thrive. Since his coming
to EMenton three splendid B. Y. P.

Sunbeam band and girls’ auxiliary.
Th«< Woman’s Missionary society has

year. Tb? Sunday school has grown

I ‘ The work in the
other three churches has grown
equally as much, all of which speaks
in a wonderful way of Mr. McKin
non’s ability as a pastor.
In Junf?, 1925, he was married to
. Miss McKellg Watson of Columbia.
Sb* greatly helped her husband in his
work as pastor and took an active

churches.
This beloved pastor and his wife
leave Ellenton^with the greatest love,

sible to bestow by a congregation.
They are beloved by everybody in
the town and community, not only
Baptists, but all denominations. El-
lenton’s loss is Cross Hill’s gain.
