Think Lower Part of State Sure of Boom Many people believe that two pieces of bitf news published in The Sunday News of Charleston foretell prosperity to lower South Carolina. The president of the Fleetwood Hotel Corporation announced the pur chase of the Fort Sumter Hotel in Charleston and announcement of the granting; by the War Department of a permit for the construction of the Santee Power project, called for big headlines in the Sunday papers—and each story was worth all the display it got. _ Fleetwood Hotels are going good wherever they are established and tourists are attracted to the places where they are located. These hotels are looked upon as harbingers of good times ahead and the purchase of a hotel by this corporation in Charles ton practically says these people look for a big drift to the historic city. The Santee project is said to bo one of the biggest power proposi tions in the country and when com pleted its promoters claim they can produce much more power than can Muscle Shoals. Fuigerson, in Orangeburg County, will probably be the seat of this big power project and real sure enough high power will be developed for this section if this proposition * ghes through. * FURNITURE AT PRIVATE SALE —I am offering the furniture, china- ware. kitchep utensils, etc... of the late Mrs. Rosa H.
