News from Williston
Williston, Dec. 9. — On Friday
evening Mr. Player, coach of Willis-
ton-Elko High School, entertained the
? ootbail team' at the home of Mr. and
rs. J. E. Kennedy. This is aft an
nual affair and is always anticipated
with much pleasure by all who are so
fortunate as to enjoy Mr. Player's
hospitality.
Each member of the team, twenty-
six in number, invited a girl to the
party, and they, with the members of
the faculty, made up the guests for
the evening.

class of the Senior department of
the Williston Baptist Sunday school
met on Monday evening, December
15th, at the home of Miss Edith
Bell. A constitution was r 'Scl6pted
and a class organized and given the
name of “The Glad 'Girls’ Class.”
The meeting was called to order
by the teacher, Miss Eloise Quattle-
baum, and the following officers
elected: President, Miss Lou Bell
Scott; first-vice president, Miss Mar
garet Thompson; second vice-presi
dent, Miss Beatrice Hair; third vice-
president, Miss Elizabeth Stallings;
secretary, Miss Florrie Lee Scott;
treasurer, Miss Marguerite Courtney,
and Recorder,' Miss Jennie Lou Folk.
J. R. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. L. G.
Turner, of Saluda, spent Sunday with
the former’s sister, Mrs. C. A. Us-
sery.
Mrs. Crews Boland is some better

school football banquet last week.

Timber Company, fails or refuses to
make up the deficiency or indicate
their willingness to do so within fif
teen minutes, then the timber and
timber rights as conveyed in the deed

ber Company, dated March 8th, 1917,
will be sold to the highest bidder on
said sales day on like terms as the
lands are sold. Said timber rights
described as follows:

rights, which includes the right of
cutting for ten (10) years from the
8th day of March, 1917, in and upon
those two said tracts of land situated
in Four Mile Township, Barnwell
County, South Carolina, and described

of the Savannah Lumber Company, to
the South by the Monroe and Ashley
tracts of the Savannah River Lumber
