Bokern and Mrs. D. ^ Weeks, leston, were in/ut ed this morning When the automobi^ in which they . were riding turned oVer in the. ditch along the highway ubout a half a mile above Baldock, on the road to Augusta. - They were en route to Augusta-in an automobile belonging to Mr* Bok ern. M. Biargo, also of Charleston, was driving at the time of the accid ent. Miss R. Weeks daughter of*the injured-woman, was on the front seat- with Mr. Biargo. Neither of them were injured, nor was Miss S. Sirasky, who was in the back seat. The car was a heavy sedan, and as Mr. Biargo,' bejng unfamilar with the i-oads, drove a little too close to the ditch, it poppled on its side. Only the fact that the automobile was not going at a high rate of speed saved the occupants from serious or possible fatal injury. The car was only slightly damaged, the glass on one side being broken and the side of the car somewhat dented. It was righted- and driven into Allendale on its own power. X John J. Jones, Esq., of Augusta, as a business visitor here Thursday. Misses Dora Greene and Willie Sur ratt were visitors in Augusta Thurs day. • All roads lead to Columbia this week, the attraction being the State Fair. Mr. W. A.
