Baseball Players Killed.
Emil Huhn, manager and first base-
man of the Augusta baseball club,
and Frank Reiger, catcher an< out
fielder on the dame team, were killed
Saturday night .at 9:30 o’clock when
the automobile in which they were
returning from Charlotte, N. C., turn
ed over near Camden. Five other
players escaped with more or less
serious injuries. Among them was
Harry Smythe, who pitched superb
ball for Williston in the days,of the
Tri-County League. Smythe, who

Col. William Mitchell, who attract

months ago and incidentally sudeved
demotion for criticising th; air ser
vice, launched another broadside at
the department following the disas
ter, charging incompetency and
criminal negligence. As a result he
seems to have gotten himself
