After advancing to 23.20 Wednesday, when the October position showed a gain early of 50 points, compared with the low of last Saturday, that option, as well as the other active months, reacted, losing all the gain on Thursday owing to the circulation of notices for about 30,000 bales for delivery on July con tracts. While the notices were circu lating, July dropped to a discount of fully 30 points under October, but after the notices had been stopped the July position went back to a small premium oyer October. The end of the week was marked by , recovery of all the ground lost and new crop months made new high levels for the present upward movement. This evidence of strength was due to the continuance of droughty conditions in Texas and a growing belief that the forth coming government report will not show as high a condition average as has been looked for, nor will the indicated yield be the 14,000,000 bales many expect. ■ . .x.. This change in market sentiment has been due to The surprising new ‘‘pars” - announced by the govern ment for use in determining the strength of the condition .averages when applied to the acreagfe m order to figure out the indicated yield. Some statistical experts (Tgure that the State pars as announced by the government indicate a general par for the United States of 194.fi pound* per acre, as compared with an average of 202 pounds last June. Recent private condition reports have indicated_ yields as ,low as 13,- fiOO'.OOO- bales. The effect, on the market has been bullish. ♦ — Find Boy’s Dead Body — in the Edistor River Denmark, June 29.—Furman Boy kin AmosLthe 15-year old adopted son of Mr. and ^rs.
