Exactly 100 people stood the
teachers' examination in the court
house last Friday and Saturday.
Twenty-five stood the general ele..
mentary examination and 75 the pri
mary examination. The high school
examination will be held at a future
time. Supt. Clayton was in charge.
It will be two or three months before
results of the examination are kn awn.
The Fort Prince George Chapter,
D. A. R. held its May meeting with
Mrs. J. F. Bannister of Liberty on
Tuesday of last week. Quite a num
ber of the Pickens ladies attended.
Mrs. J. N. Morgan and daughter,
Miss Jessie and Mrs. Bill Clayton of
Central and Mrs. Charlie Martin of
Easley were there. A very interest

goers into active Sunday school and
church service. With this in view
committces have been appointed to
canvass the entire coinmunity next
Sunday afternoon and personally
extend an invitation to every man,
woman and child to become a regu
lar attendant at church and Sunday
