STOP WORK ON ROAD Supervisor McKinr ey states that he will move the county chaingang off of the Pickens-Brevard highway May 27 and begin work on the Six Mile-Norris road by June 1. As the chaingang is the only force at work on the Pickens-Brevard road and no contract has been let for work on the road the removal of the chaingang will mean that work will stop on that road for the present. About eleven miles of this highway have been completed by the chain gang ven( about nine miles remain to be built by contract. it was thought that the conti'act for he coIlpletition of the road would have been let last month, but for somel reascn er cother it has not been done. It is thouht that work wvill probably be resumed on the roadl ini June.
