Six Mile is about 12 miles west of Pickens and seven miles north of Norris, which. is the nearest railroad point. 'Whe '' Pickens .supIplies the larger number of students, many of tbem come from Greenville, Ander son, Abbhvlfle andjother South Caro lina counties as well as from North Carolina. The academy offers a four-year course inl addition to the preparotory work, which is the same as is otYered in t.he eomnon schools of' the state.
