Washington, June 11.-Both ex ports and imports continued to fall off in May, but the month's trading resulted in a favorable balance of $122,000,000 for the United States, figures made public today by the De partment of Commerce showed. Exports for May totalled $330, 000,000 as against $340,000,000 in April, while imports for the month were $208,000,000 as compared with $256,000,000 in April. For the eleven months ended with May, exports totalled $6,180,000,000 as against $7,480,000,000 for the corresponding months of 1920 while imports aggregated $3,472,000,000 as compared with $4,688,000,000. B. LAD KILLED WHEN HIT BY AUTO WHICH SPEEDS ON. Sixteen Year-Old Driver of Car Held in Jail. .J. C. Finley, Jr., 9-year-old son of J. C. Finley, Sr., of 701 Buncombe street, wvas almost instantly killed about 6 :30 yesterday afternoon when struck on Butler avenue by an automobile dIriven by .Joe Donahoo, aged 16, who is held at the county. jail. Donahoo, who was arrested shortly after 9 o'clock last night following a persistent investigation on the part of city police, admitted dIriving the car wvhich struck young Findley, but stated that he and his companions were so frightened that they did not stop to investigate the damage done. According to Donahoo, he was driv ing the car while those in the car with him were Townes Hodges, Joe McCall and Bingo Merrick. Dona hoo was the only one of the quartet arrested last night, being found at his home on Whitsett street and taken to the county jail where he spent the night. He is the young son of L. S. 'Donahoo, a .well known wholesaler of this city, wvho moved to Greenville from Spartanburg about 'two years ago. When approached by the police, who learned the occupants of the car partly because of the punctured radi ator sustained in the collision and partly by a cap found near the wreck, 'which was saidl to belong to Dona hoo, Donahoo did not (deny being the (driver of the car and imnmediately in quired as to the injuries inflicted upon the lad.
