A wedding of wide interest which will doubtless come as a surprise to the many friends of the contracting parties, occurred on last Friday after noon at the home of the bride when Miss Addie Alene Finley became the bride of Joseph Whitner Thrasher, of Townville, Dr. Lathram, of Town ville, officiating. The bride was dressed in a beautiful navy blue suit with accessories to match and car ried a bouquet of lovely brides roses. Only a very few intimate friends and relatives witnessed the ceremony, which was very beautiful and im pressive in its simplicity. Immediately after the wedding a delicious ice course was served by Misses Sara Finley and Lucia Elli son, of Piedmont. Mrs. Thrasher is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Finley, of Pickens, and is a charming and most accomplish ed young woman, having a host of friends throughout the state. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thrasher, of Townville, S. C. He is a young man of splendid worth and line business ability. Both the bride and groom have scores of friends who wish them much hap piness.
