1 wish to thank the many friends and
neighburs for their kindness during the
sickness and death of my beloved wife,
and also wish to thank Dr. Porter for
his earnest attention. All that loving
hands could do wvas done, and it will be
impossible to ever repay them for their
kind servics. 1 pray that God will bless
each and every ono of them.

Tihe colored friends of the Red Cros
have given excellent service in the re
cent linen shower. They contributed
large number of eggs, many sendinj
notes saying how gladly they did thei
