Whereas, the resident freeholders of the age of 21 years and the qualified electors residing in Palistine School Dis Strct, No. 26, have petitioned the Board of Trustees of the aforesaid District to grant an election within said District k for the purpose of voting upon the question of issuing bonds for the pur pose of erecting a suitable school house within said district. The petition fur 0 ther asks that the amount to be raised e shall not exceed $1000. After examin k ing the aforesaid petition, the Board of Trustees are satisfied that the petition meets the requireInents of the law. Therefore, an election is hereby or dered by the Hoard of Trustees of said District, to be held at the school house on October 20, 1917, to determine whether said bonds shall be issued or not, and that Messrs. W. S. Gantt, R. A. Alexander and Martin Mitchell are hereby appointed managers of said election. The said nanagers shall de clare the result of said election and make return of sal e to this board. Homfe-coming Day at New Hope church in Oconee county will be ob served Saturday before the third Sunday in October, beginning at 11 a. m. All persons who have been members of New hope church and have moved away, all citizens who have in the past lived in the con munity, and all former pastors are very cordially invited to attend. On Saturday dinner will be served at the church. Prof. R. M. Bolding and sev eral other good singers will be on hand to assist in the music.
