CRITTENDEN, PUMPKINTOWN I was. stahdii' on a railroad Just outside a little town; One locomotive comin' up, Another comin' down. They were comin' at each other Like two goats' I thought they'd bust; It was then'rny Yeet they got a Kind-o' huitle wander-lust. Once when I investigated A nest of 'yeller fies, I got introduced too caustic n the region of the eyes; And it anybody saw me, He will-toll you that the dust I raised was proof that then my feet They had the huo'le lust. Arjd if I were In-a battle Which was gettin' sort o' hot, Of course I'd see the danger Of a feller gettin' shot Wjen I rubbered at the muzzle Of an umpty-steen inch gun, And my feet would get the hus'le-lust And off with me would -run.
