during the usual hours of sale, to-wit:
between eleven o'clock a. in. and one
o'clock p. mi, ill the real estate, man
ufacti'int plant, property and assets of
-evey knd whatsoever, including choses
in detlon, of Maplecroft Mills, a South
Carolina corporation, whose buildings
and most of whose assets are located in
the town of Liberty, county and state
aforesaid, including the buildings, fix
tures, engines, motors, looms, spindles
and other manufacturing equipment,
machinery and appurtenances of said
real estate anid plant, and mill supplies
thereof, and including also the office
furniture and equipment. The real es
tate on which said plant i.s located con
sists of 53.60 acres. more or less, de
scribed in the decree as follows:
All that certain tract of land in Pick
ens county, state of South Carolina,
containing 53.60 acres, more or less, as
per plat by B. ). Garvin, surveyor, da
ted Feb. 23, 1904, beginning at a stone

in deed of Ola H. Lancaster to Calumet
Mfg. Co., dated Feb. 29, 1904, recorded
in office of R. M. C. for said county and
state in Vol. Z, page 37, and in deed
from J. B. Griffin, to said Co., dated
Feb. 27,1904, recorded in said office in
Vol. Y, page 382.
No bid will be received at sale for an
amount under the sum of $100,000.00;
and no bid will be received unless at the
time of making the bid the bidder shall
have deposited with me, as receiver,
the sum of $5,000.00 in cash or certified
check, as a pledge that such bidder will
make good his bid.
Terms cash, the receiver to execute
and deliver a good and sutlicient deed
to the purchaser upon the terms hereof,
in the usual form, conveying the prem
ises to him in fee simple and to imme
diately let him into possession of all
the property and assets of the said cor
poration.
This property is a well-equipped plant
for the manufacture of cotton goods,
conveniently located on the Southern
railroad, in the town of Liberty, S. C.,
with good buildings, ample equipment
and warehouse room for the storing of
cotton, with necessary office and sup
plies buildings, and with tenemeni
.ouses for operatives in good condition
it is equp)ed with 11,776 Ring spindle.

Yam Sims was arrested a few
days ago on a charge of stealing
a mule from a gentleman who
lives at the head of Gimlet creek.
He was placed in jail at Bound
ing Billows through a mere for
mality of the law and remained
there until Friday morning,
when he was taken before!

Prof. Sap Spradlin, who has

the wilds of the Gander Creek

has returned with the news that
he has discovered a new stream.

he bolieves it has not been dis
covered before, among them be
ing the fact that he saw no wild
animal tracks and empty bait
cans on its banks. His main
reasoi for believing it is al-en
tirely new stream is the fact that
