Thursday afternoon. March 2, Mi.a.
Lorena Taylor delightfully entertained
the young ladies of Pickens. Rook was
one feature of entertainment and an
other was a question given each lady to
answer, the question being, "If you
had a husband how would you manage
him?" The answers were varied in
opinion. Most of the guests decided
that to "feed him" was the only one
way. But the two best answers were:
"Put a ring in his nose and lead him,'"
and "Prayer, love and common sense.''
The color scheme of pink and white was
carriedj.out in the decorations and re
freshments. , Late in the afternoon lit
gksubips Julia Folger passed English.
Vlnuts to each guest, who were sur
prised to find when the nut was opened
the announcement of the wedding of
Miss Maka Boggs to Mr. R.B.Anthonay,
which is to be a lovely event April 18.
A delicious ice course wvas served.
