Mrs. T. D. Hairis Dead Died, at her home-Hiawatha hotel--in Pickens on Novenmber 21, Mrs.. Nora Gertrude Harris, the beloved wife of T. D. Harris, and only child of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hendricks. Mrs. 'Harris was in the 46th year pf her life. In 1888 she was married to Thornley D. Harris. To this union ten chil dren have been born, nine of whom are still living, the first born dying when an infant. The oldest child is now 23 and the Youngest three years old. The children are all at home except Will H. Harris, who has been in business in Atlanta for sever al years. The funeral was held in the Pickens Methodist church and was conducted by her pastor, Rev. L. E. Wiggins, assisted by Rev. D. W. Hiott, Rev. J. M4. Stewart and Rev. B. Holder. The body was laid to rest in the Pickens cemetery. Mrs. Harris had been a men ber of the church from childhood and her life was that of a con sistent christian. She had de voted her life to her home and loved ones. The congregation which gath ered to pay the last sad rites vas large and many beautiful floral offerings were sent by friends of the deceased, some from Atlanta, some from 'Spar tanburg and some from Green ville. Mrs. Harris was held in very high esteem by all who knew her. She numbered her friends by her acquaintances, for to know her was to be her friend. 'Tis; a sad, dark day when a loving mother is carried out of a home and helpless children are left without a mother's care. May the God of all grace con fort this bereayed fanily and care for the helpless. The active pall-bearers were as follows: Frank McF'all, I. N. Mauldin, J.P.Carey. Jr., W avne F. Mauldin, R. R.
